INFORMATIOM
SHEET ON WELFARE PROGRAMME
The IRCS, District Branch Sundargarh has undertaken
the following welfare programme.
1.
Maintenance of Old
Age Home, Rabondihi
The IRCS District Branch, Sundargarh is running one
Old Age Home (Biswa Bandhu Jarashram0
at Rabondihi of Karla Gram Panchayat in Sadar Block. At present 30 inmates (19
males & females) are residing there. A sum of Rs.400/- (Rupees Four Hundred) only per head is provided each
month towards maintenance of inmates. Secretary, Dharmanandan Yubak Sangha,
Sikipani is looking after the same.
2.
Running of
Homeopathic Dispensaries.
The IRCS, District Branch, Sundargarh is running two
Homeopathic Dispensaries one at Surda of Tangerpali Block and other at Tendara
of Bonai Block. Treatment of disease along with medicines free of cost is given
to the needy patients of the area. Homeopathic medicines worth of Rs. 98,415/-
(Rupees Ninety Eight thousand four hundred fifteen) only out of Red Cross
Fund has been supplied to these two
Dispensaries during 2008-09.
3.
Financial Assistance
to poor People/Patients.
This is the regular humanitarian activity of IRCS,
Dist. Branch, Sundargarh. Poor Patients and victims of mishappenings etc. in
the district are provided with all possible financial assistance from time to
time. In the manner a sum of Rs.1,66,253/- has been spent during 2007-2008.
Further a sum of Rs. 96,887/- was paid as ex-gratia payment to the victims of
different road accident etc. in the district during the year 2007-2008.

Establishment of
Revolving fund.
IRCS, District Branch, Sundargarh has established
Revolving Fund in order to extend immediate relief to the victims of road accidents
and elephant menace etc. A sum of Rs.8,50,000/- has already been placed at the
disposal of 03 Sub-Collector and o3 DFOs in the District.
5.
Supply of Blankets to
the Prisoners of Jails
The IRCS,District Branch, Sundargarh has provided 1458 nos. of blankets to the
prisoners of all three Jails and one Observation home of the district. A sum of
Rs.1,50,990/- has been spent for the purpose. Some other welfare programmes are
also taken up for the prisoners at different occasions.
6.
Finanical Assistance
for ANPM Programme.
Atma Nuyukti Mela was conducted in 07 blocks of the
district. A sum of Rs.92,023/- was provided to the concern BDOs for the
purpose.
